Mustard is not a condiment! Well, yes it is, but not in my case. Mustard is the beautiful yellow wildflower that grows between the dormant grapevines in Napa Valley in February.
Hi! I guess the first thing I would have you know about me is I have a deep and abiding love for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I realize that that one statement alone will turn many people away from what I have to say. I accept that. I have the most wonderful husband in the world...no, really! We have 8 kids and 4 grandsons. I graduated in English Education from CSU. Go Rams!! After earning my Master's degree in Educational Literacy from UNE, I was hired to work in an alternative high school teaching "those" kids. I have found my calling in life! Maybe it is because I am like "those" kids, that I enjoy them so much. I was abused when I was little. I grew up in foster homes. I was a teen mom. I struggle with dyslexia. I don't say these things because I make excuses for my life, but because I want to show my students that those things in their lives are NOT excuses. They are obstacles to be overcome. Life is full, and I am enjoying it!
